ZWERVER
Kaj Zwerver (1995, Haarlem, he / him) is an interior architect, writer, and activist.
With his Dutch-Indonesian roots and a childhood shaped by many wanderings from the Netherlands to Switzerland and the border region with Belgium, he developed a keen awareness of people and their environment.
In 2023, he graduated (Magna Cum Laude) with a Master's degree in Interior Architecture from KU Leuven, Campus Sint-Lucas Ghent.
Through his own design practice, Studio Zwerver, he writes about societal themes in architecture, engages in activist interventions and conducts research into a holistic approach to architecture. This resulted in a nomination for the Geert Bekaert-prize for architectural criticism in 2025.
Kaj lives in Ghent with his partner Lucie de Groen. Together, they form an artistic duo.
